Yucky!

yuck 的形容词用法；yuck本身意思是“表示讨厌”（闻到难闻的气味或吃到难吃的食物）；语气带有嫌弃和厌恶。

The food in the school cafeteria is yucky.

学校自助餐厅里的食物很难吃。

like cardboard

cardboard 真正意思是“硬纸板”；中文有类似的比喻：味同嚼蜡，用来形容不好吃的食物

The bread tastes like cardboard.

这种面包味同嚼蜡。

poorly cooked

poorly在此指的是“不充分的”，即“煮得不够好”

The dishes were many, but they were all poorly cooked.

菜很多，但烧得都不好吃。

the pits

pits 基本意思是“坑”；形容 "the worst"（最糟糕的地方），年轻人的流行用语

The food in our dining hall is the pits, I almost threw up.

饭堂的菜真难吃，我差点要吐了。
