中国人为什么都犯这9个英文错误？汉语对学习英语的影响浅谈"

Hello everyone, I"m Nathan. I was in Beijing for a few years before, so I can speak a little Chinese. In the few years I was in Beijing, I encountered many common English mistakes.

大家好！我是Nathan，我以前在北京待过几年，所以我会说一点的汉语。我在北京的那几年，遇到了很多常见的英文错误。

th发音

For example, my name, In Chinese, you say 内森, but we say Nathan.Chinese doesn"t have the th sound, or "th". Because of this, many Chinese people will say 内森 or Neisen. A lot of other Chinese people who can"t pronounce th will instead say d, or z… so that will turn into dat or zat.

Remember to place your tongue between your teeth.

比如说…我的名字…在中文里，你们会说内森，但是我们说 Nathan.中文没有 “th” 的声音，因为这个，所以很多中国人要说内森或者“Neisen”，也有很多不会说“th”的中国人反而说“d”或者“z”所以that会变成dat或者zat.

记得把舌头放在牙齿中间。

He和She混淆

There"s another common English mistake… this mistake relates to the character "ta". To Chinese speakers, this word can represent both a male and a female. But, in English, we don"t have this word, so we have two different words instead… he and she.When I was in Beijing, I often heard people say things like this… my good friend Jason lost her wallet! It made her so mad! The problem is, Jason is a male"s name, so you can"t say her… you must say it like this… my good friend Jason lost HIS wallet, it made him so mad!

还有另外一个常见的错误…，这个错误关于“Ta”这个字。对你们来说，Ta能代表一个男生或者一个女生。可是，英文没有这个字…所以我们有两个不同的词…他和她（he and she）。在北京的时候，经常听到了人这样说…我的好朋友Jason丢了她的钱包…让他气死了。问题就是Jason是一个男生的名字，所以不可以说her…需要这样说…我的好朋友Jason丢了他的钱包，让他气死了！

R发音

The third common English mistake is this. Many Chinese people can"t pronounce the r sound. I often heard many people in China ask this… whe ah you going? It should be, where are you going? This problem seems to be more difficult for southern Chinese people, because they"re not used to using 儿话音. So, find a Beijinger and practice your 儿话音！

第三个常见的错误是这个，很多中国人不太会发音“r"这个声音。经常听到了很多中国人这样问…你去哪里呢？Whe ah you going? 应该说 Where are you going? 这个问题对中国的南方人比较难，因为他们不习惯用儿话音。那找个北京人联系你的儿话音…

可数名词/不可数名词

Another problem is countable and uncountable nouns. Chinese has a lot of measure words, but I think for a lot of Chinese people, using these two types of English nouns isn"t easy.Some Chinese people may say, I have a lot of stuffs. This isn"t correct, it should be… I have a lot of stuff, because stuff is an uncountable noun.

另外一个问题是可数名词和不可数名词。虽然中文的量词比较多，但是我觉得对很多中国人来说，用这两种英文的名词不容易。比如说…我有很多东西，有些中国人可能会说 I have a lot of stuffs. 这个不对，应该说I have a lot of stuff,因为stuff是一个不可数名词。

Be动词

The final problem I would like to discuss is that in Chinese you can say, I very good, I hungry, I sleepy! In Chinese, these are correct, but not in English! In English you need to add a verb! So we say… I am good, I am hungry, and I am sleepy!

我想谈的最后一个问题是在中文里，你们可以说…我很好，我饿了，我困了！在中文里这样说就对，英文不可以！英文需要加一个动词！所以…我们说…我是很好，我是饿了，我是困了！

单数名词/复数名词

The first mistake is that Chinese doesn"t have plural nouns, but English does. 单数名词 Is a singular noun, while 复数名词 is a plural noun. In Chinese, the cat in I have a cat and I have 3 "cat" are the same, they don"t change. I would often hear sentences like this: I have a cat… this sentence is correct! I have 3 cat… this sentence is wrong. Remember, in English, you must change the noun. We will say: I have a cat, I have three cats. Cat and cats isn"t the same.

第一个错误是中文没有复数名词，可是英文有。单数名词就是singular noun, 复数名词就是 plural noun.在中文里，我有一只猫的猫是一个单数名词，我有三只猫的猫也一样，没有改变。所以我经常听到了这样的句子… I have a cat 这个句子没错！I have 3 cat.这个句子不对。记得用英语就需要改变名词！我们会说I have a cat. I have 3 cats. Cat 和 cats 不一样。

Hope/wish混淆

For many Chinese people, the word 希望 can be a little troublesome. The reason is because in English 希望 can represent at least 2 words, like "hope" and "wish". The problem is that hope and wish have different meanings. In English, wish can be used to represent something that is impossible or unlikely to happen. For example, I wish I could fly, I wish a day had more hours. These two examples are impossible, so here we use the word wish. On the other hand, hope can represent things that are possible or likely. Some examples are; I hope there isn"t any pollution tomorrow or I hope I can make a lot of money next year. I"ve heard I wish you have a good weekend and I hope I could fly... these 2 sentences are both incorrect, it should be: I hope you have a good weekend! I wish I could fly!

对很多中国人来说“希望”这个词有点麻烦，因为希望会代表至少两个英文词“Hope和wish”，问题是hope和wish的意思有区别。在英文里wish能代表不可能的，或者应该不会发生的事情，比如说：我希望我会飞... I wish I could fly...I wish a day had more hours，这两个例子是不可能的，所以在这里，我们用wish，反而hope可以代表有可能的或者我们希望会发生的未来事情，比如说：我希望明天没有雾霾，我希望明年赚很多钱。我听过 I wish you have a good weekend! I hope I could fly.这两个句子不对！应该是：I hope you have a good weekend! I wish I could fly!

Leave/left混淆

Leave and the past tense form of leave "left"… these two words may trouble a lot of English studying Chinese people. For example: He already left. What time did we leave Beijing this morning? He left me here. He"s left handed. Leave and left have a few different meanings, so pay close attention to which one you use!

Leave 和过去时的leave…left. 这两个词会让很多学习英语的中国人混淆。比如说：他已经走了。 He already left. 我们今天上午几点离开北京的？What time did we leave Beijing this morning? 他把我留在这里了。He left me here. 他是一个左撇子. He"s left handed. Leave 和 left 有几个不同的意思，所以你们要特别注意用哪个！

Because…so错误

Because… so… Because I didn"t study hard, so I didn"t pass… Because he didn"t eat supper, so he"s hungry… Because he ate snacks every day, so he got fat, etc. Because I didn"t study hard, so I didn"t pass… to say it like this is a bit weird. We basically don"t add the “because”, so you can say… I didn"t study hard, so I didn"t pass. He didn"t eat supper, so he"s hungry. He ate snacks every day, so he got fat. If you use because, it should be like this… I didn"t pass, because I didn"t study hard. He"s hungry because he didn"t eat supper. He got fat, because he ate snacks every day.

因为…所以 because… so因为我没有努力学习，所以我不及格，因为他没有吃晚饭，所以他饿了，因为他天天都吃零食，所以他变胖了，等等。 Because I didn"t study hard, so I didn"t pass. 这样说有点奇怪… 我们基本上不加因为，所以你们可以说… I didn"t study hard, so I didn"t pass. He didn"t eat supper, so he"s hungry. He ate snacks every day, so he got fat. 用“因为”的话，就需要这样… I didn"t pass, because I didn"t study hard. He"s hungry, because he didn"t eat supper. He got fat, because he ate snacks every day.
