CNTA to Release National Cruise Plan on CCS12 On the morning of October 11, Zheng

On the morning of October 11, Zheng Weihang, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of CCYIA and Secretary-General of CCS Organizing Committee visited Deputy Director Li Shihong of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) to report the preparation and achievements of National Plan for Cruise Tourism Development. The report was highly affirmed by Deputy Director Li Shihong who instructed relevant departments to seek for comments of the central ministries and commissions on the Plan as soon as possible to make it printed and issued after reported to and approved by CNTA Work Meeting. The Plan will be released on CCS12 to be held in Sanya on November 6.

Deputy Director Li Shihong also highly recognized the planning comments on establishment of cruise tourism town proposed by CCYIA, thinking that it is greatly significant. He also explicitly showed that the plan for the first batch of cruise tourism towns to be commenced next year led by CCYIA will be released after reported to and approved by CNTA.

CNTA is a special supporter for CCS. In the past 11 years, it has actively promoted the development of cruise tourism in China. CNTA listed cruise among new forms of tourism in 2008, issued cruise port tourism service standard in 2011, has successively approved the establishment of six China Cruise Tourism Development Pilot Areas since 2014 and promoted the issuance of several policies on cruise tourism.
