na ive found some of the best food ive ever had through yelp. If you overly depend on people"s rating"s then it is prob a bad tool for you, but you can get a lot out of, pics of the food, restaurant, diversity of reviews.

They are a POS company and I will mention it every time I get the chance too. They extort small businesses. They promote bad reviews and make good ones harder to see if you don"t subscribe to their bullshit and they wouldn"t stop calling my dad"s jewelry store for quite some time a few years back.

Can"t upvote this enough. I work for a small business, they come at you with this "let us help you manage your online presence" horse shit, and if you don"t give them money all the negative reviews drift to the top. It was super noticeable with us because our last bad review was like 2 years ago, but it"s now the first thing you see.

Yelp can eat shit and die, Google Reviews is better anyways.

Mine was at 4, then we said no after their fourth call to pay, and it dropped to a 2 with a bunch of fake reviews.

I made an account for the business (free one) and disputed every single one, saying if they have a receipt or any proof we would pay $1,000 for the inconvenience.

Is it wholly owned by her? I know popular people would be given some ownership of a company if they are willing to be the public face or the endorser of a company so this is probably not her sole decision.

It"s Michael Mina and her so it"s likely heavily influenced by Mina Group which is pretty massive. It"s the Groups first restaurant in Texas though...should have opened in a place like Charlotte that the Curry"s love or a city that still likes Curry (Honolulu, LA, NYC, Seattle, as a few examples).

All asshole reviews, jokes and memes aside, why is she opening a restaurant in Houston? From what I gather she has no affiliation with the city at all. Born and raised in Toronto, moved to Charlotte where she met Steph, and now lives in California.

It"s not even experimental - it is "refined" ethnic food. Most articles pushing their hype focus on Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese BBQ. Literally all of that already exists in Houston.

General rockets fans are likely not gonna go to this restaurant - they have a niche audience ("foodies" uncomfortable of actually going to ethnic restaurants) they"re targeting that I just don"t think they"ll be successful at long term. There have been plenty of those celebrity/hype restaurants in Houston and most struggle after their first year once hype leaves.
