用法说明打电话问对方是不是某人时用“Is that…（speaking）？”，而不用“Are you…？” 。问“您是哪一位？”时，可以用“Who’s that calling/speaking，please？”“May I have your name？”等，而不用“Who are you？” 。回答对方问话或自我介绍时用“This is …speaking.” 。若对方找的正是接电话的人，接电话的人一般说“Yes，speaking./Speaking.”转告某人接电话时，可以说“There’s a call for you./…，it’s for you.”等。如果你发现对方拨错了号码，你最好重复一下你的电话号码，然后告诉对方“Sorry，wrong number.” 。范例：Hello, who's that speaking，please,？This is Jane.
