Yeah everything will most likely got up, not just ticket prices. Food, beer, drinks and parking prices will definitely raise. Giants ticket prices are actually not bad but their food is ridiculously expensive. I spent $40 a pair of Giants tickets and another $40 on a order of chicken tenders+fries and a beer. I"m certain the price for food at the Chase center is going to skyrocket and they"ll probably charge even more for the non gluten, vegan option since it is SF after all.

Man i"m so jealous.

One nice thing about Spurs game tho,they really aren"t basketball fans just Spurs fans and tend to gravitate towards the bigger name teams like the Lakers, Cavs, GS, Houston. I"ve found I can almost always get into games cheap against quality teams that aren"t "big names" like 6ers, Utah, Bucks, etc

Median is probably more appropriate. There are probably more ‘cheaper’ seats than expensive seats which are probably disproportionately expensive

I honestly don"t think its that. I can"t find the study, but I read that New Yorkers on average spend less time and money following sports than people in most other big cities.

New York has a couple of big advantages that drive this up though. There are 20+ million people in the NYC metropolitan area. Thats more than double any metro area that isn"t LA (13 million). Public transportation is also some of the best in the country, which makes attending games much easier for people who live outside of the city.

Also MSG being the Mecca plays a huge roll. Pretty much every basketball fan (even if they aren"t an NBA fan) wants to see a game at MSG. Nets is 1/3 the price vs MSG. MSG gets most of the tourists for sure.

NYC public transit is good enough that people depend on it for their day to day lives. So everyone notices when it fails them. In most cities that’s not even an option.

I"ve had Jazz season tickets on the top row of the upper bowl for five years now. They cost $6 a game.

Also, the Jazz sold upper bowl playoff tickets for $35 for the first round. I like how it"s affordable to go to a game in Utah.
