The data analyst will be responsible to produce advanced data analysis on ad-hoc projects and as part audit assigments on SG Group entities in the Asia Pacific region. He or she will need to work in cooperation with auditors to design use cases, analyze data, document the analysis and present the results.

The data analyst will need to liaise with IT support teams and DCPE data extraction team to develop new data extraction templates or refine existing ones in order to better address Internal Audit needs.

The data analyst should also stay informed of new use cases, best practices and tips coming from the global DCPE Data Analytics community (as well as external forum) and contribute his/her expertise in return.

Academic Background & Certifications, Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline

Operational Skills

Proficient in data visualization and data analytics techniques including the use of software such as TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, MS PowerBI, Qlikview, RStudio, ACL, IDEA, SAS or excel

Knowledge of a programming language such as R, Python or VBA

Experienced with data Extraction, Transformation, and Load processes (ETL), Structured Query Language (SQL) and database management
