我的朋友都知道cold是“寒冷”或“感冒”，比如I have a cold，这意味着我感冒了。

1）Out coldOut cold从字面上看，它看起来像“外面冷”，但说到“Out cold”可不是“外面很冷”啊！这到底是什么意思？（可以说外面很冷It is cold outside）。
看英文解释：Unconscious or in a deep sleep，like a boxer who has been knocked out，是无意识还是昏昏欲睡，像一个男人KO一个拳击手。（KO就是knockout）
因此，out cold可以指昏昏沉沉，昏迷就是昏迷。

但是在这个短语中cold它也可以指“冷淡的，冷漠的”差不多吧。
因此，out in the cold这意味着经常被冷落或忽视。
