Mim Design has beaten out over 1800 other entries from 16 countries to win the global prize in the Sub Zero and Wolf Kitchen Design Contest. Mim Design was awarded top spot for its NHH Residence project which principal Miriam Fanning says was designed to create a family-friendly space for entertaining which integrated with the dining room and the architecture and interior design of the house.

Extending over three levels sits humbly within its landscaped streetscape. Designed for an active family with a full suite of programme within the house has an intimacy and calmness that belies it proportions.

Taking home the first place contemporary kitchen prize Mim Design created a showstopping look for this open plan kitchen. As keen entertainers the owners of the NNH residence needed a kitchen that could facilitate generous hosting as well as function for their family including two young boys.
