Sentence Completion Task

【Methodology】

Whenever the teacher is focusing learners’ attention to “sentences” as opposed to words or whole texts, it is called working on language at “sentence level”. We can also use the terms, “word level” and “text level”.

Sentence Transformation Task

【Methodology】

It is a type of task where learners are given a sentence plus a prompt.

Using the prompt, they have to write a new sentence with the same meaning as the original sentence, e.g.

(I borrowed money from him)

(He __________ ____ some money) = he lent me some money.
