The rule I"d like to say is a rule in my primary school. Though it is really a part of history, I still want to discuss about it. According to the rule, every student should greet teachers with warm smile and humble attitude, no matter he or she knows the teacher or not. Right now I think about it, I know it"s bullshit. But back then I was too young to resist.

If someone breach the rule, he or she would receive punishment. Teachers would speak your name out loud in speakers to let others know that someone had breached the rule. To do this, they could embarrase you, and more importantly, teachers would scare other kids not to breach the rule.

Well, I think respect is a very interesting thing. If you want someone"s respect, you should earn it by yourself, not forcing others to respect you. Some teachers in my primary schools were not qualified. They didn"t deserve to be respected, so I guess that"s why they need this rule.
