2017年,英雄联盟全球总决赛(简称S7)首次落户中国。这场万众瞩目的电竞世界杯即将在9月23日拉开帷幕。为迎接这场盛会,传立媒体携手PentaQ带来了赛事的特别专题。

For the first time, this year, League of Legends World Championship (S7 in short) will come to China. This extraordinary e-sports event will begin on September 23rd. To welcome the S7, Mindshare is releasing this special newsletter with PentaQ, to guide you through what is happening in this party.

In mid August, the League of Legend World Championship first launched its partner list. Mercedes Benz, L"Oréal Men Expert, Yili Guliduo, Logitech and Intel become the five partners of S7 in China.
Among these five brands, two of them are Mindshare’s clients. Mindshare catalyzed L’Oréal Men Expert and Yili Guliduo in the partnership with LOL S7.
Recently, L’Oréal Men Expert also officially launched the sponsorship of a S7 Team WE (Worlds Elite). With the support of L’Oréal Men Expert, we hope that WE will perform well in S7’s Play-in.

Gamers with the most frequent participation in the World Championship
本次世界总决赛中有多名选手参加了七年中的五次总决赛。其中,只有Sneaky一直代表着C9团队参赛,其他选手都有转会变更队伍的记录。
In S7, there are several players who have participated in the World Championship for 5 times in 7 years. Among them, only participant Sneaky stayed in Cloud9 team all along. Other players all changed teams.
来自北美的选手Doublelift服役于TSM,他也是北美《英雄联盟》解说席的著名解说嘉宾,以其大胆、毒舌、自信的谈吐深受电竞玩家们的喜爱。Doublelift本名彭亦亮,是一名华裔美籍选手,英文母语之外,他还能用其母亲教给他的上海话进行简单沟通。
Doublelift is a member of Team Solo-mid. Outside the game, he is also a famous LOL commentator known for his sharp,sarcastic and confident style. This Chinese American has learned a bit Shanghainese from his mother, which makes his commentery more interesting.
Clearlove7,本名明凯,是五年参赛的名将里唯一的LPL选手。他曾服役于WE战队,从S4赛季开始作为EDG战队的核心率队参赛。从2017赛季起,他将他的ID从Clearlove改为Clearlove7——用此方式表达自己率队冲击S7的决心。Clearlove7一共获得5座《英雄联盟》职业联赛冠军,3个德玛西亚杯总冠军,并多次入选《英雄联盟》All-Star世界全明星。
Clearlove7 (Chinese name: Kai Ming) is the only LOL Pro League (LPL) player among the five-year veterans. He used to play in Team WE, and joined Team EDG in S4. At the beginning of 2017, he changed his ID from Clearlove to Clearlove7, demonstrating his confidence in leading the team to the battle field of S7. Clearlove7 has earned 5 LPL championships, 3 Demacia Cup championships and many LOL World All-Star shortlist.

来自韩国LCK赛区的中单选手Faker,是现役且参与本届总决赛获得冠军头衔最多的选手。
Faker,本名李相赫,司职《英雄联盟》SKT战队的中单位。他率队取得2013/2015/2016三年的全球总冠军,并荣任2013年和2016年总决赛MVP;多次入选《英雄联盟》AllStar世界全明星。
因为其率队所创造的三冠成绩,他也被粉丝誉为在《英雄联盟》的成就堪比乔丹之于NBA。
Faker from LCK (LOL Champions Korea) division is the player who has won most World Championships.
Faker (Name: ???), is the mid lane player for SKT. He won the World Championship in 2013, 2015 and 2016, and was selected as the MVP for many times.
According to his fans all over the world, Faker to League of Legends, is just as Jordan to Basketball.
总决赛转会身价最高的选手

《英雄联盟》项目的选手薪资并未公开,但仅从已公布的转会市场价格来看,来自中国RNG战队的ADC选手UZI或是电竞转会市场中身价最高的职业选手。
2016年央视报道确认,UZI在18岁时转会费用高达5000万人民币, 这个价格可以拿中超球员孙可的6600万转会费作为对比参考。迄今为止,这是电竞转会市场被权威媒体证实的最高价格。
UZI,本名简自豪,司职《英雄联盟》RNG战队的ADC位。他以线上的凛冽杀伐能力著称,并在2013/2014年两年率领RNG战队取得总决赛亚军——这也是LPL队伍迄今为止所取得的总决赛最好成绩。
According to the record in team-transferring market value, UZI from Team RNG should be regarded as the most valuable player among all S7 participants.
Confirmed by CCTV’s report in 2016, UZI’s transfer fee is up to 50 million RMB. As a famous Chinese e-sports player, his transfer fee is approaching the top Chinese soccer players, comparing with Chinese Super League player Sun Ke’s 66 million transfer fee. Till now, UZI’s 50 million is the highest price confirmed by major media in e-sports market.
UZI (Chinese name: Zihao Jian) is the ADC of Team RNG. He is famous for his aggressive style in the game, and helped RNG won the second place of World Championship in 2013 and 2014. And this is the best performance of LPL teams in World Championship.
3. RIOT推出S7主题曲《传奇永不熄| Legends Never Die》,流行程度堪比热门音乐单曲
Legends Never Die, the theme song which RIOT tailor made for S7 is now as popular as a top billboard single
这首新的主题曲在24小时内,在欧美讨论区Reddit的点赞量达到了10,500左右,YouTube播放次数达到100万+,在中国的微博平台上转发量超过1100+。以张艺兴单曲《What U Need》发表时的数据作为对比:此张单曲公开21小时在YouTube播放量破百万,是YouTube平台上MV最快突破100万的中国籍歌手。
S7主题曲《传奇永不熄| Legends Never Die》演唱者为Against the Current,他们是YouTube著名的翻唱团体,主唱Chrissy Costanza是一名《英雄联盟》玩家。歌曲由Riot音乐团队、Alex Seaver of Mako、Justin Tranter、Oliver、Colin Brittain以及Alex Goot联手创作。
Within 24 hours, this new theme song was liked 10k+ times on Reddit, 1million+ views on YouTube, and 11,000k+ sharing on Weibo. It is incredibly popular comparing with the 1 million view record made by Chinese singer Lay Zhang, whose single What U Needreached this views within 21 hrs.
“Against the current”, the singer of Legends Never Die is a famous cover group on YouTube. The key singer Chrissy Costanza is a fan of LOL. The song was co-created by Alex Seaver of Mako, Justin Tranter, Oliver, Colin Brittain, Alex Goot and Riot’s music production team.
4、S7入围赛赛程公布:
中国战队WE对阵LYN成为揭幕战
S7 Play-in Schedule: Opening game between Chinese Team WE and LYN
LPL(中国大陆赛区)2017春季赛冠军战队WE,将在S7总决赛的揭幕战中迎战来自墨西哥的战队LYN。
WE(World Elite世界精英)俱乐部是中国最富盛名的电子竞技俱乐部之一,有长达十二年的发展历史,曾在《魔兽争霸3》时代由著名世界冠军选手Sky李晓峰领军,并在《英雄联盟》电竞项目获得多个杯赛冠军。他们在2012年年底获得IPL5杯赛世界冠军后,一举创下40多场不败的《英雄联盟》历史最长连胜纪录——这一战绩至今尚无战队可以打破。
历经两年的换血和蛰伏,WE战队在2017年重新展现出强大的战斗力:春季赛勇夺冠军,更在MSI季中冠军赛和RR洲际赛亚洲赛区的角逐中,两次战胜全球总决赛三冠王SKT。今年总决赛,WE与传统强队EDG、RNG一同携手入围总决赛24强。
在9月23日开始的入围赛中,WE将率先与来自于南美的LYN、俄罗斯的GMB战队进行较量,并最终争取小组赛的四个名额之一。
As the Play-in schedule is launched, Team WE, the champion of 2017 LPL Spring Season will meet Mexican team LYN in the opening game.
WE (World Elite) club is one of the most popular e-sport clubs in China, with a history of twelve years since establishment. The club has won many cup championships, and created the record of 40 games winning streak in 2012. The record hasn’t been broken by any other teams in the world.
After a two-year adjustment, WE returned to the first echelon of Chinese LOL teams and performed well in 2017’s LPL. In Mid-Season Invitation Championship and Rift Rival Regional Contest, WE defeated SKT twice, eventually coming to the top 24 stage of S7 with EDG and RNG.
In the Play-in games, WE will meet LYN from Latin America, GMB from Russia in the Round Robin, fighting to get into the main games.

微博将全程直播报道2017英雄联盟全球总决赛事,成为首个用户可通过游戏客户端分享短视频和内容的非腾讯社交平台以及唯一可一键领取奖励的非腾讯平台。
目前英雄联盟全球月活跃用户超1亿,而微博上的英雄联盟用户规模便超过5000万。
微博上的明星中也不乏一些英雄联盟游戏的爱好者,如周杰伦、吴亦凡、薛之谦、Angelababy、王思聪、陈赫、林更新、王子文等,明星覆盖自己的粉丝群体的同时,也将游戏覆盖人群的外延不断扩大。
The entire 2017 LOL Worlds Championship will be broadcasted live on Weibo. It is the only non-Tencent platform that players could share short videos and or content and get rewards in just 1 click.
Now the monthly active users for LOL is over 100 million around the world, while there are 50 million LOL players active on Weibo.
Celebrities on Weibo like Jay Chou, Xue Zhiqian, Kris Wu, Angelababy, Wang Sicong, Chen He, Lin Gengxin, Wang Ziwen etc. are all LOL fans. They expanded the gaming scope to broader audience.
6、全球总决赛分组抽签结果富有戏剧性

在《英雄联盟》历史上,中国的EDG战队在2015年MSI季中冠军赛击败SKT一举夺魁,从而在世界范围赢得了广泛的声誉,也因此成长为世界级顶级战队。
SKT与EDG战队多次在世界级大赛中的交手,被视作是两队自2015年以来”恩怨“的延续,并成为电竞粉丝们津津乐道的看点。本次世界赛的分组抽签中,来自中国iG俱乐部的现役选手Rookie,依然“不幸”地将SKT与EDG抽中在一个小组——这一“中韩宿命对决”的提前发生让小组赛极具看点。在抽签仪式结束后,Rookie选手在微博上发表“对不起”,以表达自己未能为LPL战队抽出好签的歉意。
与此相反的是,欧美选手对抽签结果表现出更强的自信心。欧洲战队G2的中单选手Perkz通过Twitter向美国战队TSM隔空喊话:“这次的小组赛抽签真是太简单了,我们决赛赛场见吧”。此举被中国的电竞粉丝视为“欧美队真是天生乐观“,更有玩家表示,“抱歉,你们买得到鸟巢的决赛门票吗?”——《英雄联盟》世界总决赛的现场门票历来销售火爆,北京鸟巢的决赛门票虽还未开售,但其“一票难求”的热度早已居高不下。
In the history of LOL, EDG from LPL (China) division beat team SKT in 2015 MSI won the first place, gaining widespread reputation in the world.
Unfortunately, EDG was drawn against SKT in group A this year. The battle between these two rival teams has already received great anticipation. Can EDG rediscovered its magic against SKT?
In contrast, European and American players showed great confidence in the draw. Perkz, one of the European team"s G2 players, spoke to American team TSM via Twitter: "See you in the final"! This action was seen by China"s fans as "inherently optimistic teams from Europe and the United States," and some gamers replied, "excuse me, you’d better get tickets for the final now." —— Tickets for the Worlds have been a booming in the history of LOL. Although the Beijing bird"s nest final is not on sale yet, its popularity is quite obvious.
7、全球队伍集训:韩国或中国
China and South Korea become the most popular destinations for training
随着赞助商和投资者对战队投入的增加,各俱乐部对总决赛的成绩要求也水涨船高。大部分队伍都在赛前提前飞赴亚洲,选择在韩国或中国进行集训。
韩国有多年一脉相承而完善、健全的电竞体系,他们在近四年总决赛中都包揽了冠军,也让欧美队伍将韩国作为主要的集训地——与中国相近的时差、高水平训练赛邀约,是韩国获得世界各地区战队青睐的主要原因。赴韩集训的队伍中还包含了大洋洲的Dire Wolves,这是世界总决赛历史上第一次有“外卡赛区*”的队伍前往韩国集训,这也与他们本赛季获得LG的冠名赞助有关。
中国LPL赛区*队伍则采用了联合集训的方式:各战队顶级队员组成陪练团,并共赴武汉基地进行封闭式训练——这是LPL赛区首次采用联合集训方式。
亦有海外参赛队伍提前赶赴中国备战,如俄罗斯GMB战队、中国台湾地区FW战队等。截止9月19日,大部分队伍已结束第一期集训并开始赶往中国。
As sponsorship and investment towards e-sports teams increased a lot, the requirements and anticipation for clubs" performance increased accordingly. Many teams flew to Asia before the game, chose to have some warming up trainings in China or South Korea.
South Korea has one of the most integrated systems of e-sports. Their perfect performance – winning all 4 years’ champions - in LOL Worlds Championship attracted European and US teams to choose South Korea as their main training place for 2017 Worlds Championship.
China LPL division team has adopted the way of joint training for the first time. Picking up the top players of each LPL teams to build a practice partner team. And all be concentrated in Wuhan base for close-end training.
There are also teams from overseas to China to prepare for the Worlds. As of September 19, most teams have finished their first phase of training and are heading to China.
