1.香港大学 HKU
The application period for admissions in 2020-21 commences on September 1, 2019 and the application periods are as follows:

Main Round for MPhil/PhD Applications: September 1, 2019 - December 2, 2019
1st Clearing Round for MPhil/PhD Applications: December 3, 2019 - April 30, 2020
2nd Clearing Round for MPhil/PhD Applications: May 1, 2020 - August 31, 2020
Applications will be considered only if there are vacancies after the Main Round.

Application Commencement Date*:
2 September 2019 at 09:00 a.m. (Hong Kong time)
Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme:
RGC application deadline: 2 December 2019 at 12:00 noon (Hong Kong Time)
CUHK application deadline: 2 December 2019 at 5pm (Hong Kong Time)

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (2020/21)
Application Process and Timelines, 2020/21
When applying for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship, each applicant may choose up to two PhD programmes and indicate their priority. Applicants are also required to nominate two academic referees who can comment on their academic performance, and invite them to complete and return the designated form to the chosen institution(s) directly. For more information on pursuing a PhD degree in your chosen area at CityU, please contact the Research Degree Coordinators of the academic department concerned.
Call for application: 1 September 2019*
Deadline for registration at RGC's Online Application System (OAS): 2 December 2019*
Deadline for submission of full applications to CityU for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme: 2 December 2019
Notification of results: March 2020
